Burial record for St Botolph, Aldersgate dated 12th June 1782 confirms the suggestion that his widow took over the business in that year. See topic in this Section for Henrietta Eastwick.

Grimwade has Adrian Eastwick free by redemption of Girdlers' (p498) but the binding to Bickerton would seem to contradict this. Is redemption in Girdler's an error? Since Eastwick and then his widow bound apprentices in the Goldsmiths' they would have needed some standing.

It might take a while to reconcile this if at all, but I believe going from one company to another for various reasons does occur.

I have done a little more checking and found more. The records for the City of London on admission to freedom of The City for Adrian Eastwick have him free of the Goldsmiths' Co. It is my understanding that an individual first had to be free of company and then submit to The City. (The exception being when the freedom of the livery company was ordered by The City and that action accomplished both the livery company and the City.)
