There is confirmation of Heald's suggestion that Deards died in 1761 in an entry in the St Dunstan in the West burial register for him dated 19th June 1761; last address Dover Street.
Further confirmation of his death is contained in the Will of William Deards, silversmith and toyman late of St George’s, Hanover Square, proved for probate on 17th June 1761 (National Archives reference PROB 11/866/318).
