She is reported to have been joined in partnership in 1840 by George William Adams, husband of her daughter Mary Ann. He entered a maker’s mark (GA) at Goldsmiths Hall late in 1840 trading as Chawner & Co.
For further history of the business see The Directory of Gold & Silversmiths Jewellers & Allied Traders 1838-1914 Vol.I p.82-3 by John Culme.
