Although William Lycett entered his first mark,as a bucklemaker, at 6, St John Square, Clerkenwell on 10th July 1789, within two years he moved to the City.
His new address was at 10, Silver Street, Wood Street ,within a two minute walk of Goldsmiths Hall .
Within six months he was bankrupt.
3rd December 1791 - The European magazine, and London review, Volume 20 gives William Lycett ,Silver Street, Wood Street, bucklemaker, as bankrupt.
19th December 1791- The Times has an advert for the sale of the Stock in Trade , Household Furniture , and Effects of Willam Lycett, Silversmith and Bucklemaker, a Bankrupt. Sale to be held at Silver Street, Wood Street.
2nd June 1792 - London Gazette Issue 13422
Dividend declared on the Estate and Effects of William Lycett, late of Silver Street, Wood Street, London, Bucklemaker.
