Although his first and only mark was entered as a bucklemaker in 1784, John Lisle had been around the silver buckle trade for at least ten years previously.
He was a witness to the Will of Robert Dennison, Silversmith of St Martins in the Fields, Middlesex on 22nd March 1774.
