Grimwade indicates that there may be two John Foote as the working life is so long
5th Dec 1728 - John Foote son of Peter Foote , St Botolph Aldgate, London, goldsmith apprenticed to Thomas Overing . He was turned over to Thomas Boulton, citizen and goldsmith, Blacksmiths' Company on 15th Apr 1731.
Grimwade (p 610) gives details of a Charles Overing as "Assistant in Firing " at the Assay Office in 1718 and his son, Thomas as "Drawer". The Thomas Boulton may be the one Grimwade lists on page 445/6.
Heal records in 1752 an Anne Foote, goldsmith at Ring , near the Maypole, East Smithfield (which is near the Tower area) who could be the widow of the elder Foote ,and the mother of the younger if there were two Footes (or Feet)
