French bonbonniere from Paris

I have this piece. 17cm to 18 cm high, 14cm diameter. Glass not original. Weigth of silver approx. 400gram in total. The eagle is massiv.
Eagle stamped Minerva
Top stamped Minerva
Bottom stamped Minerva + silversmith
Unfortunately it is damaged.

minerva is 3 times at the object the silversmith only once. His name is Frey - can anybody tell me something about him? I have read something about 1849 -
When can I expect my piece to be made?
ASnd can anything else be read from the pictures.

Hi Hose,

Your piece has everything in it, Louis XIV, Louis XV, Louis XVI, Empire and Biedermeier.
Great educational tool to show eclecticism.

Martial Fray, silversmith in Paris between 1849 and probably 1861

That dates the piece. It is older than i thought. My guess was that it might be later round 1880 - but older is definetely not bad. Thanks again.
