Identification of jardinier, French H&Cie ?

Hi, Need help to identify jardinier. Assumed to be French from 18th or 19th century. Text H&Cie in a diamond/rhomb. What is the custom in using a persons profile as hallmark, who is it ? Weight ca. 2,5 kg. Appriciate any help. Fraser

hallmark for french made export only.1878-1973,
The person is Mercury. ( der Götterbote)
