Silver cabaret

Post by Johny »

I am asking for information about the producer of this cabaret and maybe someone knows what the signature in the shape of an insect means?

That is a bigorne countermark. It is the detailed anvil on which the mark is stuck. It will be found exactly opposite the Guarantee mark.

Thank you Trev, I already know what's going on.

The maker is Eugene Delebois; see here French Tureen - can you identify the maker's mark?
