Hello All
Please help me identify a strange mark on this tea/coffee pot lid.
It has Minerva marks as French silverware.

thanks in advance

Hi,
It is countermark on the opposite side of the guarantee mark. These countermarks are known as "bigornes" (a counter-impression of insects).
You should search for maker`s mark ``en losange`` elsewhere on the teapot.
regards

Many thanks! You are right - Minerva is on the other side of this mark.
As for the maker`s mark, so far I didn`t manage to find it.

The maker’s mark should be close to the rim of the teapot, and also on the lid. Good luck in your hunt!
