Mark of Jean-Guillaume Vealle, maitre Paris 1754, still working in 1761.

Actually, those are fake 18th-century French marks of a type that is unfortunately all too frequently seen. Your item was most likely made in Hanau, Germany, around 1900.

Spot on. Neither the style or the marks are French 18th C.
