Hello again,
I was told this mark is the mark of the french silver maker : Frédéric-Jules Rudolphi
Because it is marked F.R and not P.R as i was first thinking.
Can anyone tellme his opinion about it ?
Thank you very much

HI,
It is indeed the mark of Frédéric Rudolphi, active between 1842 and 1872 at 36 rue de Montmorency, Paris.
N° de garantie : 4231
N° de préfecture : 4396
Symbol : a bird's wing over the initials FR, a wheel under (une aile d'oiseau au-dessus des initiales FR, une roue au-dessous).
Regards

Hello,
You can find the info in "Dictionnaire des poinçons de fabricants d'ouvrages d'or et d'argent Paris 1838-1875", page 179.
