I know you are experienced so I hope you took it apart and looked for a third strike of the maker's mark. If you don't have another example, can your read the letters? All I can see is a D and what could be an E. I presume the big glob in the middle is a symbol, it would be nice if you recognize something from it.

Hi Maurice, how are you?
The only hallmarks from those available are the ones circled in red in the photograph.
I attach more pictures maybe more detailed observation visually you can think that the second letter can be an H or M, this helps?
Thank you, Regards, Guido

HI,
I'm fine, did you ever find that book? In any case I can't help you on this one. The problem is the plaques with marks are not complete. As you might imagine this was a rather difficult time in France. It is odd that all the maker's marks are poorly struck, not odd in the sense of a fake, who would fake a cruet set from this period. Just odd. In any case I can't even do an online search without the initials, and the symbol. Maybe you'll get lucky and someone else will recognize the maker, I will keep it in mind.
Best,
Maurice

I think it could be Denys Frankson, He used a similar mark from 1773 to 1791, he was a master from 1765.
The mark is available in Beuque. If so the symbol is a crosier, a religious item.

Comparing a drawing to a photo is never ideal, they don't look exactly the same, but I googled and found a commercial site showing his second mark, and it is certainly the same as yours.
I presume you know the other marks.

Hi Maurice, I think that your assignment Denys Frankson is correct.
Fantastic I have the cruet in hand and you only have the photograph identified the silversmith. Are you a real magician.
Thank you, Guido

Thanks but if I was a magician I would have turned up a copy of the book you need.
Best.
