I have a very unique spoon that I am trying to identify but have been unsuccessful so far. What I have been able to determine is that it is french made and possibly a berry spoon. I am 99% positive that I have identified the Hallmark on the right side of the blade as Minerva(2) which is from the French 1838 and depicts 800/1000 Silver. The Makr's Mark is a capital leter L and Capital Letter P on either side of a flower or rose and is set inside of a diamond. It is a Silver handle with a vermeil blade (gold plated silver). I am trying to find out some history on this piece and if there is any (admin edit - see Posting Requirements )
The handle is so ornate and unique that I have yet to find anything close to it. Your help is greatly appreciated.
