Help with identifying silver mark on Baccrat Set

Post by Richard Boltwood »

I am researching the history of a set of Baccrat Decanters with matching glasses. The silver work is beautiful but have not been able to identify the smiths mark. The set does have the boars head mark and the second mark is a ladder between the letters L and G. I have posted two images on let me host with the following urls.
http://sv1.letmehost.com/img.php?file=s ... C00530.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://sv1.letmehost.com/img.php?file=s ... 40_000.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I am not a computer buff so I may be posting these incorrectly. Any help you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I suspect Louis Gallerand, rue de Montmorency, Paris. His mark was registered 31 May, 1895. I believe the company may still be in business.
