French ??? spoon late 1700s ???

We would greatly appreciate any help in identifying the country, period and maker of this spoon.

It is approximately five inches long, rather solid, and is engraved with a coat of arms that looks definitely Continental, which bears an "Agnus Dei" superimposed on the eight-pointed Cross of Malta or Amalfi.

We are, therefore, guessing it belonged to a Knight of Malta and is French from the second half of the 18th Century ???

Difficult, hard to see. The form is uniform. Could be anywhere. That leaves us the marks and the shield.

Danish? Kopenhagen? Johan Kongsbach?

I think you can safely exclude the possibility of your spoon being French. Please next time give size in centimetres, the us and uk are the only countries in the world still using inches! The Maltese cross is used by others than the knights of malta, 100 years ago in the Arles region of France every woman wore one and it is used on the hugenot crosses as well.
