Help with French vessel ID

Postby richardrockford » Tue Jul 06, 2010 10:11 pm

I need some much appreciated help identifying maker and other details of this French vessel. It appears to be about 1940 and the Minerva mark indicates .950 silver. I can't find a maker name associated with the "S F" with the anchor in the middle or read the other mark. Much thanks for all help. Richard

Welcome to the forum.

The SF mark was used by Saglier Freres.
I think the firm was in business up to WWII.
Succeeded Victor Saglier, Paris c.1890's,

Pat.
