I finally bought the coffee pot, after a few days of going to the shop every day and looking at it with the loupe...
I was looking for an Empire tripodal coffee-pot, but was waiting for the right one ; I saw a few with horse heads as spouts or swans, but never have I seen an Indian head with plume and acanthus leaves. So I decided I had to buy this one !

The beautifully carved and hammered Indian head

The hallmarks on on both sides, all mixed up and from three different periods !
On the left side (when you hold it by the handle), it is hallmarked with
- the second period "Coq, 1er titre" (1809-1819) for Paris
- Ceres's head (1819-1838) with the middle-size"bigorne" counter-mark (pantatome)
- boar's head (1838-1961) with small "bigorne" countermark
- maker JGB

On the right side, it is marked with
- Michel-Angelo head (1819-1838)
- Athena head looking right, middle guaranty for Paris (1809-1819)

The lid is also marked, on top with a single Athena head (1809-1819)
The inside rim is marked on the right side with
- Michel-Angelo head (1819-1838)
- boar's head (1838-1961)
- Maker's mark JBG
- second period "Coq 1er titre" (1809-1819)

The left side rim is marked with the middle guaranty for Paris, the Mask which looks like Medusa's head, and small "bigorne" counter-mark

The Maker's mark is unclear, as it it not complete
Nevertheless, I could "photoshop" the two half-marks together and get the full one
It reads JBG, with a star in the center, and something above the star.
Can you please help me identify the silversmith and give me information as to his work?
