French Tastevin Wine Taster, Crowned I and Crayfish, 18th C?

Postby amw » Thu Nov 06, 2008 1:13 am

My elderly friend inherited her grandmother’s silver, and the boxes contained some great stuff, including these several wine tasters, or tastevin, but I am challenged by the French Marks. They seem to be 18th century, if I am reading Tardy right. We have one like this, and another four with a crowned A (see other post).
Here is a crowned I; a crowned B dot L over G; and a crayfish? Are they 1760s? Is the crowned I, a date mark or a town mark? Thanks so much for any help, I’ve been puzzling for months.

Adresse de l'atelier :1) 12 rue Baillet ; 2) 88 rue Saint Germain-l'Auxerrois (1811),
N° préfecture :180, N° de garantie : 71,
Symbole : un bonnet de la liberté (et une rosette) ?
