Hello. I have a silver cup with the Paris title mark of the man's (king's?) head with the number 1 beside it inside a rectangle with flattened corners. The guarantee mark is the large one of Minerva's head inside a circle, though unlike the title and maker's mark, the guarantee is not stamped on the bottom of the cup, rather on the side. As a result, it has worn smooth so that only Minerva's outline is visible. I would like to know if anyone can provide further information on the maker's mark. Within a diamond shape that is read vertically, rather than horizontally, there appears to be a tall, thin evergreen tree with a letter T on each side. There is an arrow shape below the tree and letters.
That drawing of Theoder Tonnelier's mark came from "French Master Goldsmiths and Silversmiths from the Seventeenth to the Nineteenth Century" by French & European Publications, Inc.
