American Plater: Charles A. Allen

An odd entry reading, "Charles A. Allen has been foremost silver-plater in the West for the last thirty years.". [Found under title THE SUPPLIES PAGE on page 47 of The Hotel Monthly by John Willy, volume 12, number 137, August, 1904.] There is no further explanation of Mr. Allen's location or connections to the commercial wares industry. It seems improbable that he would be given mention in this industry periodical unless he was well known, even if as a re-plater. Any ideas?

Must have blown right past his ad on page 7...looks like flies were an even bigger problem in 1904:
