Thank you so much for the quote. I was hoping that there might be some instances where they may have experimented with Sheffield plate as well. I have a wine ewer in a typical Hester Bateman shape with the script initials HB scratched on the bottom but it is in Old Sheffield Plate and not allmarked silver. I live in hope it may be a Hester Bateman piece.
