Help with Hermann A Rohs fork

Hello this is my first time posting on here. I have a fork that I have been trying to research for months that I can't seem to get a handle on. It has no silver marks but does not seem like silverplate at all. It is very heavy and has Hermann A. Rohs Xll stamped deeply into it. From the research I have done I think it originates from Kentucky around the Cynthiana area. Any info good or bad would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. Chris

I tried my best for an hour to load pictures but my computer savvy is limited. I can try my best to describe the fork for as much as its worth. Very heavy ,7 1/2 inches long, HERMANN A. ROHS Xll deeply punched in. There is no carving or any style to it. The top is just rounded with no engraving. I would appreciate any info on it. Once again sorry I can't load pictures at this time. Maybe I can get my wife to help, she's pretty smart she married me. Thanks again for your time. Chris

If you can't get your image to show, you can at least include a link to it once you load it into one of the other photo hosting sites.

A quick search for his name found "Herman A Rohs, Cynthiana Kentucky, circa 1870-80" for a sterling silver spoon stamped Sterling along with his name. Without a pic it will be impossible to guess what yours is made of - unlikely to be sterling since it isn't marked, but it could be coin or plated (the XII may indicate plated?). It can be hard even with a picture, so the best way is to test yourself.
