Silver Scent Bottle

Last Sunday I attened an estate auction & bought primarily europen glass which I deal in. Normally I do not buy anything like this, but it looked like it might be legit. No markings, 5" height, 2 1/8" diameter, weight is far more that size would indicate. It was labeled late 1700s early 1800s secent bottle. It was coal black when I bought it & after an hour of careful work it cleaned up fairly well. Quite a bit of wear around the handles, but no cracks in the silver. Appears to be silver over brass because head on figure shows a hint of yellow, screw threads are hand cut, no machine work. Just wondering if its legit & was what was on the tag as I am unfamiliar with this type of item. Thanks, Ken
