reuttimann barok

Postby Hose_dk » Mon Sep 17, 2012 4:38 pm

I have seen the 2 words "reuttimann barok" used in a book. Google dont give much but apperently Reuttimann has worked in Augsburg 1676 to 1681. From what I saw the "reuttimann barok" was referred to as a style. Illustrated with a barok beaker with floral decoration.

But is reuttimann barok a known fraze?

Hello, don`t think the phrase is common. Reuttimann published a handfull of books with designs for engravings in the French taste of the late 17th century. Seling just mentions him once, when Reuttimann's designs were used for engravings on some Augsburg goblets of that time. Best wishes, Bahner

Thanks - I had never heard the fraze before, but saw it in a book.
