my favorite silver polish is the stuff from the next supermarket, ordinary silver polish from the shelf with the household items/cleaning stuff. My polish has following ingrediens: Soap, Ammoniumcitrat, Ammonia (for the terrible smell) and polish paste.
It works great with cotton whool, patience and lot of time. Items which are for display, not to eat with, I clean with a dry piece of cotton whool afterwards. Items to eat with I clean afterwards with dish cleaning detergent.
Area of application are normal silver flatware, goblins, plates etc. I do not recommend it for thin hollow ware.
