I am familiar with the classic Odiot hallmark with the oil lamp with an " O" above used during the 1800s and later. I also saw where Jean-Baptist Claude Odiot also had a hallmark registered with the initials JBCO surrounding a bellows. I have not seen this maker's mark used with the " ODIOT. - A. PARIS. " stamp commonly used on their items. I see that this maker's mark was used until 1826 around the time that Jean-Baptiste Claude Odiot retired and Charles-Nicholas Odiot took over the company.
Did Charles Nicholas Odiot introduce the classic oil lamp " O " Hallmark and incorporate the " A PARIS " and serial numbers ? Did Charles Nicholas & Jean-Baptiste Gustave use an individual marker's mark ?
Also what hallmarks did the previous members of Odiot family use prior, Jean-Baptiste Gaspard Odiot in particular before lozenges became the standard.
Thank you
