First of all, I'm french and I apologize for my english, I will try to do my best. Also, I'm not sure to post in the right topic, sorry if it bothers you.
The reason I came here is because I'm looking for any index about my great grand father, Charles Cohen (1891-19..) who was jeweler.
I saw his name here : http://www.925-1000.com/Ffrench_makers_C.html and I was wondering how could you have this information? Is there a document that I could consult to learn more?
He was born in London but lived then in France. He committed suicide in the canal Saint-Martin after being robbed of two large diamonds.
