My piece has marks: 925 S NORWAY as well as the Hallmark of Willy Winness/Winnaess/Winaess (<--- there's part of my question).
1) I found his name spelled 3 different ways on various sites - which one is correct?
2) I'm pretty sure the ring was purchased in the very early 70s (I rec'd it in about '73), but most of the online references for WW point to his designing for David Anderson in the 1950s... did he then break away & design on his own?
3) Unworn parts of the ring (concave back) have a slight golden tint even though the piece is marked sterling - was it common for Scandanavian designers to use a vermeil over sterling?
Thanks in advance for any info.
