Reed and Barton tea pot

Postby kimsing » Mon Sep 20, 2010 8:12 pm

I have found a family silver plate Reed and Barton pot with a registration number on the bottom. Is there a way to trace this?

Reed & Barton still exist

Hello

Welcome to the Forum.

Of course, maybe is there a way to trace that.

But I don’t know your expertise — sorry — not all numerals on objects are »registration numbers« of the individual object. It could be e.g. model number, number of series, inventory number …

Here you could find some informations on »date« marks: http://www.925-1000.com/RB_Date_Code.html

For your couriosity, here you could see some elder and old advertisings, with objects of hollowware and flatware:

But you could take also a direct contact to »Reed & Barton«: http://www.reedandbarton.com/

I hope that this brief answer would help you a little bit.

Kind regards silverport
