Dual Crest - II

Postby dognose » Thu Feb 20, 2014 11:01 am

Another object with a dual crest, this time noted on a sugar sifter made by Thomas Bradbury & Sons and assayed at London in 1890.

On the left a Bishop's mitre, and on the right a dove holding an olive branch in its beak.

Any thoughts on the owners of these crests?

According to the General Armory this double crest of mitre and dove is for BARCLAY of Mathers in Kincardineshire, in Scotland.
