Postby marcondes » Tue Sep 17, 2013 6:40 pm

Hi,

Is it possible to know to which family belongs this crest?

Thank you,
Marcondes

Really there is no chance. Crests unlike coats of arms, are shared by many families, unless the subject matter is very unusual. A horse's head would be very common, and therefore impossible to assign to a particular family.
Sorry.

Some names for further research:

The maker of the spoon, as I'm sure you know, was William Eaton. Some further information can be found here:

Thanks, Trev. !!

At least I have only 5 families ! But, even so, it is impossible to know the right one!

Hi Marcondes,

That's probably just a few of them, as Maurice has suggested, there are likely to be many more families that used such a crest.
