Funny crest

on an Austrian cigarette case by Moritz Stross is this funny crest. Some ideas?

Hi Zolotnik,

Yes I know, way out of my league but I have been staring at it for a day. Herewith Oel’s version; perhaps not a crest but the engraved cartouche symbolizes true love; true love will weather all storms and survive even if under attack, the Crescent moon symbolic for serene power over mundane actions together with a Star (estoille or mullet) symbolic for celestial goodness, nobility & excellence; the swan symbolic for; poetic harmony and learning or love thereof; light, love, grace, sincerity & perfection, the swan which appears to have just landed into a safe haven, wounded but alive, the neck straight up.
True love/virtue will survive.
OK you are right better get back to work.

I always suspected that you are a little strange....that is the proof!

In ernest: It must be something symbolic like your explanation - even Austrians do not have such weird crests...
