Mysterious Hallmark #2

Postby Yakoka » Fri Mar 25, 2011 7:58 am

Can someone identify this hallmark featured on the plate of what appears to be a candy or sugar box made of three pieces: plate, crystal glass holder and lid. I have posted different hallmark on the same piece featured on the lid in the previous post.

Looks like Russia perhaps, but I'm not positive. Good luck. Did you see the Paul Revere silverplate mark to see if that gives any clues?

hello
the hand with the sword and the moon&sun is used in the medieval (and after)period in the centre of transilvania(where now is the Covasna,Harghita,Mures,Brasov region in Romania) is the sign of the old hungarian noble family of the centre of Transilvania(not just hungarian =is the Szekely,Szeklers) and is the sign of the victory against the turk/tatar hordes.
al the best
Stefan
