Edinburgh Spoon 1768 - Bird on Snail

This is from my only Scottish piece, bought it just because I liked the crest. It was made by William Dempster, date letter D for 1768 Edingurgh. Thanks for any help.

Hi,
I have a set of six dessert forks with the same crest but were made in London in 1859. With your spoon I don't think the engraving is contemporary.
