WL below Fish - Mustard Pot - William Lestourgeon

Grimwade's unregistered mark no. 3893, noted on a mustard pot assayed at London in 1765:

The mark is now thought to be that of William Lestourgeon (William Lestourgeon & Son, and from c.1771 Aaron Lestourgeon), known suppliers to Parker & Wakelin. See Grimwade 3rd edition, page 757.

I'm probably stating the obvious, but the fish is probably a Sturgeon, indicating that the identification to Lestourgeon is almost certainly correct. Punning images were quite common at the period .
