S G — on buckle of 1740 —1756 period

Probably an unknown silversmith in the lost smallworkers register , or it perhaps a later mark of Samuel Griffin who entered a largeworker mark in 1731 (Grimwade 2514) and who has no other recorded marks.

The only other marks on this pair of buckles is the London Lion Passant of 1740 -1756
