Birmingham Maker ID sort?

Can someone identify the maker W.D on my dainty little milk jug. I believe it was made in 1904.[/b]

Does the mark look like this?

If so the maker is William Devenport.

If it's lower case "e" with bracket base, then yes, it's 1904.
