Identifying STERLING marks

I am new so please bear with me I need help on this mark I believe it is Irish?

This is Scottish by Robert Allison with Edinburgh hallmarks, I cannot make out the date letter, his maker mark was registered there from 1954.
A typical example of his work along with Scottish brooches and kilt pins etc.
