Birmingham Hallmark on candlestick

Can someone explain me what does these hallmarks mean :)

You appear to have a Birmingham hallmark from the 1975 to 1999 cycle of date letters, but I am having difficulty working out exactly which letter it is. O for 1988 is my best guess but I am a long way from being certain. MK in that form is the mark of M Kamin & Co Ltd.
