Yes, the lion is the English standard mark for sterling silver (925/1000 fineness). The maker's (or sponsor's) mark, WC, is that of William Comyns & Sons. There should normally also be a town mark; in this case I would expect to see the uncrowned leopard's head for London but it is not shown in your picture. Boxes (and other multi-part items) have at least one full hallmark (town mark, sterling mark, date mark and sponsor's mark) on one part and a partial mark on the other parts. Your picture shows the partial mark. Finally the date letter "h" shows that it was assayed during the 1903-04 assay year.
