Irish Sugar Tongs - Makers mark Identification

I have a pair of Irish Brightcut Sugar Tongs which I would like to identify the maker of:



Would I be right in thinking the marks indicate a date of about c1780?

Hi Simon,

John Daly, registered 1786 and thought to have working up to around 1809. Going by the shape of the cartouches a date of between 1793 and 1807 would be correct.
