Post by juantotree »

Hi

This fiddle back teaspoon has me stumped, can anybody hazard a guess on the marks?

Many Thanks
Martin

I'm trying to go through all the Scottish Provincial names. :::: Could you give a sharper photo of that tower thing? ::: Is that a tower with stars around it, or is it an anchor? Or is it something else? ::::

This one is difficult. :::: I wanted to check the "Bermuda & West Indies" section but I think those pictures disappeared when TinyPic imploded. ::: Of course at first you would think Scottish Provincial Silver but then I thought maybe Cape Town or Canadian. ::::

I bought this spoon with 4 others, all with different marks, the other 4 I have identified as Scottish provincial so I think it quite possible that this one is of Scottish origin as well.

It might be a rather distorted mark of Twentyman & Co Calcutta.
