Australian makers marks

Post by Lightone »

Please can anyone clarify if this Sargison's mark is for Sterling silver or a lesser grade of silver? Sargison's also used a STG Silver mark - hence my confusion.Image Image

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

I've seen spoons by Sargison's before marked only with the two punches, as shown, but have never have any reason to doubt that they are not of Sterling standard.
