PN and right facing lion marks for ID please
PN and right facing lion marks for ID please
Got a job lot of spoons yesterday and there is one mustard spoon, Georgian in style (fiddle pattern) that has a makers mark of PN a right facing lion and a sideways anchor. I know the marks are imitating English hallmarks, but i'm not sure if they are colonial or (more likely) Chinese in origin. I did try and search, but unable to find anything. Thank you for any help in advance.
Re: PN and right facing lion marks for ID please
I think I have juyst found it, Peter Nordbeck, a Canadian silversmith. Seems strange then on this spoon the lion is facing the opposite direction when on the examples shown the lion is left facing.
