Fiddle pattern tablespoon maked with pseudo marks and GS&.S, who is the maker and where’s it from?

Hi Matt,
It is Canadian - George Savage and Son, Montreal. circa 1840-50.

Thankyou so much Ben! I did think of George Savage as I’d come across him before but the marks I knew were different. That’s great to have another Canadian spoon.

I'm away at the moment so can't check, but I'm pretty sure the mark is in Langdon's book. Can confirm when I'm back in a few weeks.
