Celtic point spoon marks

Postby juantotree » Tue Aug 18, 2015 8:17 am

Hi,

This is a celtic point teaspoon with IM struck 3 times, twice overstriking the same mark. I am thinking possibly Scottish or Irish provincial but would welcome the opinions of other members.

Thanks,

Martin

Hi Martin,

I think a close scrutiny may reveal it's 'JM'.

Likely to be that of James Morrison of Fochabers. See: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=31210&p=86780&hilit=morrison#p86780
