Provincial or Pseudo? unusual piece

Postby themarks » Tue Jun 23, 2015 11:04 pm

The marks are found to the side near handle, struck three times and are difficult to decipher. The piece is well made and of very good gauge, the makers initials could me: WH, HM or three letters combining LT or M.

I've gone a bit bonkers going through my books and feel it is Irish Provincial or Chinese made for trade. I thought it interesting and may be something to add to the hallmark catalogue if we can identify the maker.

i have added images of the hallmarks either way up.

Looks late 19th Century.
