Stg Silver.

This is a fork with a ‘jade’ handle. It is marked ‘STG SILVER’ and ?&Co. Over stamped with S.D
I have looked through all my reference for an idea of its origins, without success. I originally thought it might be Australia. Would any have any ideas?

Not Jade and Australia, but I suspect Greenstone and New Zealand.

Possibly a Stewart Dawson overstamp?

Hi guys,

Yeah I think you're right Trev, I think it is Steward Dawson, it looks like he's overstamped his own mark. Both the '& Co' and 'STG.SILVER' match his stamps.

(Samuel Drew used DREW for his maker's mark).

A nice piece of Kiwi silver!
