"E" and unknown mark on silver spoons

Post by hpidaves »

These two 6-3/8" coin silver spoons are marked with the letter "E" inside a square and then a mark I cannot make out. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

Thank you very much -- I had no idea they were Scottish! Would that make these sterling then (92.5%)?
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

All Scottish provincial silverware is of an uncertain standard, but it's unlikely to be too far off sterling.
